Differences of the number of prongs
1 prong: For stitching corner and curve and adjusting the distance between the holes.
2 prongs: For stitching curve and adjusting the distance between the holes.
4 and 6 prongs: For stitching straight lines.
The combination of stitching pitch and thread
Please use different pitch of stitching chisel depending on the width of the blade, and thickness of the leather and thread to suit your leathercraft.
In general, thin, and soft leathers are suitable for a narrow pitch.
Thin threads and thick, hard leather are suitable for a wide pitch.
You can choose your favorite combination according to your needs.
